C3 Kids FAQs

You asked..we answered!

  • On arrival, at each location you will find a C3 Kids Sign In station for parents to sign their kids into our program. Following sign in, our kids team will direct your family on where to take your kids. Depending on the location, the C3 Kids program may commence after the praise & worship in the main services. C3 Kids stay with their family & then head out to the C3 Kids program when it starts.

  • If you are joining us for the first time, we will need you to fill out our New Friends Consent Form & an allergy form. This form needs to be completed by parents before their child signs into our program so that we can understand the needs of your child and care for them. You can find this form on our Kids page or grab a copy when you arrive to Church.

  • You don’t need to bring anything to our C3 Kids program. If you would like to bring a jumper, hat or other personal items such as a water bottle, please make sure they are clearly labeled. If your child has an item that they wish to bring for comfort they are able to, however we do encourage kids to leave special items at home in case they get lost. Please do not send any food with your child to C3 Kids.

  • All children signed into our program require an allergy form to be filled out. This form also captures information about anaphylaxis. If your child has anaphylaxis, we also require an anaphylaxis management plan to be filled out by your doctor & returned to us so our team is aware and can plan accordingly. You can find this form on our Kids page.

  • At C3 Kids we do not usually serve morning tea or provide food. If food is provided, it is checked against our allergy register. At C3 Kids we have a no nut policy.

  • C3 Kids do not need to be toilet trained to come to our program.

Please note that as per our policy, our volunteers cannot change children’s nappies. If your child wears a nappy & it requires changing during our program, you will be contacted in the service to come and change it.

If kids are in an active process of toilet training, we request that they are taken to the toilet immediately before the program begins.

  • Please do not bring devices, including phones & Ipads to our C3 Kids program.

  • Children with special needs are able to participate in our C3 Kids program if your child’s needs are able to be cared for by our C3 Kids team. If your child has special needs and needs specific care, please let your local C3 Kids Ministry Leader know so they can better understand how to help your family.

  • Separation anxiety is perfectly normal. At C3 Kids we have a few tips to help families:

    • Consistency in attendance makes it easier for a child to become familiar with the room leader, the facility & the structure of the morning and helps to make things feel predictable, which decreases anxiety.

    • Have a drop-off routine. A simple way of doing this is to say goodbye to your child in exactly the same way every time you drop them off.

    • Once you have said goodbye, it is best to go straight into the service, rather than coming and going. If your child is crying, it is really hard to leave, but hanging around will make things harder.

    • It is tempting to sneak away when your child is involved in play, but this is not usually a good idea. Slowly building a predictable, trusting, routine with your child helps them to feel safe.

  • If you have a concern about your child, please speak with your local C3 Kids Ministry Leader and they will be happy to chat with you.
